The post-90s girl taught 500 hearing-impaired children how to call mother

The word “mother” is originally the first two sounds most children utter. But for parents of some special families, it may be a luxury. As a special education rehabilitation teacher for the hearing-impaired at the Xiaosunhua Rehabilitation Center in Jiangxia District, Wuhan, Li Hongjia, a post-90s girl, has devised a unique teaching method to help more hearing-impaired children integrate into ordinary school life. From 13 years of teaching to now, Li Hongjia has helped nearly 500 “Teletubbies” call “Mom”. (Photo by reporter Liu Kun and Zhu Jiaqi)
