The Hainan Base is the first local training base established by the National Grassroots Diabetes Prevention and Management Office (“National Diabetes Prevention and Control Office”) to support the implementation of “2+3” (high blood pressure, diabetes and tuberculosis) in Hainan Province. It is an important measure for the health service package work, which aims to comprehensively promote the implementation of the “National Guidelines for the Prevention and Management of Diabetes at the Grassroots Level” in Hainan Province, accelerate the standardized management of diabetes at the grassroots level in Hainan Province, and accelerate the realization of the province’s Homogenization of diabetes prevention and management levels in primary medical and health institutions.

After the establishment of the Hainan base, it will rely on expert resources such as the Diabetes Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, the National Diabetes Prevention Office, and the Hainan Medical Association to provide standardized training for Hainan Province through online and offline training and hospital training. The grass-roots diabetes health management medical staff and diabetes chief physicians will obtain training certificates after passing the examination. The refresher training period is 1-3 months.
