Taiwan media: Taiwan Taoyuan Airport receives “explosive threat letter” to prevent Pelosi from visiting Taiwan

Taiwan, China, August 2. According to comprehensive Taiwan media news, US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is reported to be arriving in Taiwan today (2nd) for a whirlwind visit. Taiwan’s Taoyuan Airport received a threatening letter in the morning, saying in the letter “In order to prevent the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives from visiting Taiwan, three explosives will be placed at the airport,” the local aviation police said.

It is understood that Taoyuan Airport informed the local aviation police bureau, traffic and civil aviation departments and the so-called “Homeland Security Office”. The airport also asked staff to be on guard because the letter did not specify where the explosives would be placed, the report said. (Editor/Guo Bijuan, proofreader/Li Botao)
