Stuck outside due to lockdown, nearly 90 people walked into Songjiang’s temporary “home”

“The epidemic is ruthless, and people are compassionate. Thank you to the town government and Director Hu for taking care of us in every possible way. I believe everything will be fine.” A few days ago, Hu Junshan, deputy director of the River Chief Office of Jiuting Town and head of the temporary resettlement site in Beichang, received a message from a citizen Zhang Yuanzhen. , Handwritten thank you letter from Ma Xiaomin and his wife. Due to the temporary closure, the couple failed to return to their residence in time and were properly resettled in the temporary resettlement site in Beichang. Since its establishment on March 31, the Beichang temporary resettlement site in Jiuting Town has been used as a temporary “home” and has received nearly 90 people stranded outside due to lockdown.

“We found a homeless person during our inspection , now ready to be sent to the resettlement site.” In order to ensure that no dead ends are left in the social investigation, the temporary resettlement site in Beichang cooperated with the public security department to establish a working group for the temporary resettlement site. Every time they receive information from the police, the staff of the resettlement site will prepare at the door. First, they will conduct antigen tests on the settled personnel, and then arrange for them to enter the buffer zone built by the tent for resettlement to reduce the risk of infection.

It is understood that among these people stranded due to the lockdown, there are both takeaway couriers, construction workers, logistics drivers and other social personnel, and some Homeless homeless people. Due to the complex personnel composition and different needs, the sudden closure and control made many people feel anxious, and the resettlement work at the beginning was difficult.

In response to this situation, the staff sorted out the basic information of the stranded people through registration, and tried their best to meet their basic needs in terms of clothing, food, and daily life. A convention was formulated, and a stable life order was slowly established. “All the garbage removal, cleaning and killing of the site are done by ourselves. We also need to arrange nucleic acid testing, antigen testing, distribution of epidemic prevention materials, etc. Some comrades took the initiative to take out their own daily necessities for everyone to use.” Hu Junshan said. The meticulous service and the management of both rigidity and softness have gradually relieved the resettled people and actively cooperated with the epidemic prevention work.

It is worth mentioning that, in addition to providing temporary homes for the stranded people, the Beichang Temporary Resettlement Site is also working hard to coordinate receiving units for them. “Many people have undergone multiple rounds of nucleic acid tests, and the results are all negative. Under the premise of complying with relevant epidemic prevention regulations, if any unit or enterprise is willing to provide them with jobs, we can arrange safe transportation and implement closed-loop management.” According to Hu Junshan , under the proper arrangement of the Beichang temporary resettlement site, more than a dozen resettlement objects have been assigned to new jobs. Another 11 volunteers signed up to join the Jiuting Town volunteer team to assist in the distribution of living materials. They worked together with the town government staff for several nights to complete a series of tasks such as unloading, handling, stacking, and packaging of materials.
