Inner Mongolia has also identified 8 banner counties (cities, districts) including Saihan District of Hohhot City, Arong Banner of Hulunbuir City, and Ulanhot City of Xing’an League as pilot areas for the reform of marriage customs in Inner Mongolia.
All pilot areas need to give full play to the role of village (residential) rules and regulations in promoting the change of customs, establish and improve grass-roots red and white councils, standardize wedding ceremonies and arrangements, and explore new paths for the reform of marriage customs.
