Why does the prevalence of cardiovascular disease continue to rise? Zhongshan Hospital’s famous popular science experts appeared at “Lujiazui Health Collection” and said something from the “heart”

Medical terminology too difficult to understand? Tell you a story. On February 25, the 2022 second issue of “Lujiazui·Health Exchange” “Speak Your Heart” themed health forum was held in Lujiazui Jinsui Building. Cheng Leilei, director of the Medical Oncology Cardiology Subspecialty and vice chairman of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association Oncology Cardiology Committee, brought a full of dry goods to nourish the heart and protect the heart.

The heart is one of the most important organs in humans. Our heart is like a small house. As we grow older, this house also gradually ages. How to protect, nourish and strengthen our heart is an increasingly concerned issue in today’s society. Cheng Leilei introduced that the prevalence of cardiovascular disease in my country is on the rise. Taking hypertension as an example, there are currently about 245 million hypertensive patients in my country. However, the awareness rate is 51.5%, the treatment rate is 46.1%, and the control rate is 16.9%. Only 1 in 6 hypertensive patients is effectively controlled, and about 70% Stroke deaths and approximately 50% of myocardial infarctions are closely related to hypertension.

At the same time, malignant tumors have become one of the high-incidence diseases in my country. Although various new anti-tumor drugs can greatly prolong the survival time of tumor patients, they also bring about side effects that cannot be ignored. As the life expectancy of cancer patients increases, the probability of comorbid cardiovascular diseases also increases. How to formulate a targeted treatment plan for this population has also become a new test for current cancer treatment.

In addition, Cheng Leilei especially reminded that major depression is a risk factor for heart disease. Among patients with acute myocardial infarction in my country, the prevalence of depression was 21.7%. In recent years, the elites have been affected by lifestyle and mental stress, resulting in health problems, the most common of which is cardiovascular disease.

Cheng Leilei reminded that to change the bad lifestyle as soon as possible, and use the concept of health, healthy habits, and healthy behavior to achieve disease prevention before it happens. In recent years, Cheng Leilei has devoted herself to popular science writing after her clinical work. Her published works include the series “Speak Your Heart”, among which “Speak Your Heart 2” is my country’s first popular science book on cancer and heart disease, “Doctors know you best” “Heart” won the “Top Ten Outstanding Popular Science Works in Healthy China” and other awards. Recently, her book “Speak Your Heart 3” has also been published.

“The most effective ‘translation’ of obscure and difficult medical knowledge points with plain language and delicate brushstrokes, so that everyone can prevent cardiovascular diseases early, make timely judgments, and make scientific Seek medical treatment.” Cheng Leilei said.

The multidisciplinary joint outpatient clinic of oncology and cardiology led by her is “the first in East China”, which focuses on the detection and prevention of cardiac adverse reactions caused by chemotherapy, targeted and immunotherapy in cancer patients .

This sharing is organized by Shanghai Municipal Health Promotion Committee Office and China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Management Committee Lujiazui Administration Co-hosted by Shanghai Health Promotion Center and Shanghai De Entropy Business Consulting Co., Ltd., and supported by Bank of Shanghai, Shanghai Dazhengli Health Care Co., Ltd., and Lujiazui Financial City Development Foundation. According to the Office of the Municipal Health Promotion Committee, “Lujiazui Health Exchange” is organically connected with the Lujiazui financial circle through the link of scientific forums, aiming to provide diversified health services for financial practitioners. In the future, a number of experts will be invited to give science lectures, actively Build a resource pool of senior experts to help create a healthy business environment and continuously improve the soft power of a healthy city.
