“According to the “Regulations”, we will improve the construction of the traditional Chinese medicine service system. In terms of public traditional Chinese medicine hospitals, a modern comprehensive traditional Chinese medicine hospital of suitable scale will be held, and will gradually reach the level of a tertiary hospital.” District Health Commission The relevant person in charge said.

The “Regulations” stipulate the establishment and staffing of TCM departments and personnel training of integrated TCM and Western medicine in non-Traditional Chinese medicine medical institutions, and make institutional arrangements to promote the integrated development of TCM and Western medicine.

The “Regulations” also clearly stipulate that the reserve of TCM emergency materials, facilities and equipment, technology and human resources should be strengthened. In the event of public health emergencies, the medical institutions run by the government may pre-distribute or concentrate preventive traditional Chinese medicines according to the fixed prescriptions issued by the municipal department of traditional Chinese medicine. At the same time, the “Regulations” stipulate that traditional Chinese medicine services are included in the city’s public health service system, appropriate traditional Chinese medicine service items are included in the basic public health service items, and family doctors are encouraged to provide traditional Chinese medicine treatment contract services. In this way, we advocate and promote healthy work and lifestyles that reflect the concept of Chinese medicine for treating diseases without disease.

In order to create a social atmosphere of caring and supporting the development of traditional Chinese medicine in the whole society, the “Regulations” stipulate that the “World Traditional Medicine Day” on October 22 every year is the city’s traditional Chinese medicine culture publicity day. Promote the culture of traditional Chinese medicine, popularize the knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine, and incorporate the knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine into the scope of health education in primary and secondary schools.
