According to Taiwan media reports such as Central News Agency, United News Network, etc., the “command center” stated that the new local cases that day were 5 males and 1 female, aged between 10 and 40 years old, Taichung, One case each in New Taipei, one in Yilan, and three in Taoyuan. Among them, the cases in New Taipei and Yilan are extensions of known cluster cases.

The new local case in Taichung is a Singaporean surveyor in his 40s who has boarded and worked at Taichung Port, Kaohsiung Port, and Yunlin Mailiao Port in the past two weeks. The source of infection is yet to be clarified. This case has received 2 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine and 1 dose of Moderna vaccine, which is a breakthrough infection. In response to this case, the health unit has listed 68 people in isolation.

In addition, the three new cases in Taoyuan belong to a family of three, and the source of infection remains to be clarified.

Currently, there are a total of 8 infection sources that have not yet been monitored and have yet to be identified as transmission chains. The “Command Center” announced on the same day that the newly imported cases were 32 males and 31 females, aged between 5 and 60 years old, and the date of entry was between February 11 and February 25. .

Up to now, a total of 20,373 cases of new coronary pneumonia have been diagnosed in Taiwan, of which 15,410 have been diagnosed locally; a total of 853 deaths have been reported, including 839 local deaths. (End)
