Successful treatment of a patient with complex kidney stones

Recently, the Department of Urology of the Second People’s Hospital of Jingdezhen City successfully solved the troubles of a patient suffering from stones for half a year.

Uncle Yang’s physical examination found severe hydrops in both kidneys, huge cast calculi in the right kidney, left ureteral calculi, and bilateral urinary tract obstruction six months ago. He underwent bilateral percutaneous nephrostomy in other hospitals. Since then, I have been carrying a left nephrostomy tube, which has brought great trouble to my life. So he went to find Jiang Xinghua, chief physician of the Department of Urology of the Second People’s Hospital of Jingdezhen. Jiang Xinghua carefully checked the medical records of Uncle Yang’s external hospital, patiently inquired about his condition, and immediately arranged for him to be hospitalized. After multidisciplinary support and overcoming multiple unfavorable factors such as blood pressure drop, the operation was successfully completed for Uncle Yang. Postoperative exploration found that the intraoperative indwelling ureteral stent was seen in his bladder and left renal pelvis, and the positions were matched, so the left nephrostomy tube that had troubled Uncle Yang for half a year was removed. Uncle Yang recovered well after the operation and was discharged on the 4th day after the operation. (Fan Hua)
