South Korea’s new crown confirmed cases exceeded 200,000 for the first time, and the epidemic will peak in March

This is the first time that more than 200,000 new cases have been confirmed in a single day since the first confirmed case of the new crown in South Korea on January 20, 2020.

South Korea’s epidemic prevention authorities have combined the predictions of various research institutions to judge that on March 9, the day of South Korea’s presidential election, the number of new confirmed cases of new crowns in South Korea in a single day will reach more than 230,000.

Starting from March 1, South Korea will suspend the epidemic prevention pass (show vaccination certificate or negative certificate) system applicable to 11 types of public gathering places such as restaurants and cafes, and the isolation obligation of infected cohabitants, etc. Epidemic prevention rules have also been lifted.

On the other hand, since March 1, elementary and middle schools in South Korea will reopen, so there are concerns that it will have an impact on the increase in the number of confirmed cases.

Previously, South Korean epidemic prevention authorities predicted that the peak of this round of epidemics will be reached in early or mid-March, with up to 350,000 confirmed cases.
