The iHuman Institute of ShanghaiTech University is an international high-level research institution affiliated to ShanghaiTech University. Liu Zhijie’s group in the field of structural biology and function of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) related to major human diseases such as neurological diseases, immunity and cancer A series of breakthroughs have been made. At present, the research group mainly focuses on structural biology methods to conduct in-depth research on GPCR-related cell signal transduction mechanisms, as well as in situ structural analysis of complex machines. At the same time, new drug research and development based on structure and artificial intelligence will be carried out for GPCRs related to major diseases to promote the transformation of scientific research results.
We are currently recruiting 2 postdoctoral fellows due to the needs of scientific research.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Focus on the research direction of the research group, carry out research independently, and encourage exploratory research;
2. Participate in other research projects of the research group and assist PI to guide graduate students;
3. Assist PI to manage the daily scientific research management and related work of the laboratory.
Recruitment criteria:
1. Ph.D. recipients in life sciences/medicine/pharmacy related fields, or graduates who are about to receive a Ph.D.;
2. Received good scientific research training, has published high-quality SCI papers as the first author, and is willing to undertake challenging topics;
3. Strong English communication and writing skills;
4. One of the following research backgrounds is preferred:
a. Cell biology related research;
b. Medicinal Chemistry Research;
c. Experience with cryo-EM/optical microscopy;
d. Computational Biology
