Over 96,000 local confirmed cases in Hong Kong in 26 days, and 402 cases have died in public hospitals

The Department of Health of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced on February 26 that as of 0:00 a.m. that day, there were 17,063 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia in Hong Kong, including 6 imported cases and 17,057 local cases. According to incomplete statistics from the Hong Kong Government News Network by Health Times, there have been 96,922 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia in Hong Kong since February, of which 96,734 were local infections.

According to the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, 66 more confirmed patients died in the past 24 hours, including 39 males and 27 females, aged between 19 years old to 101 years old. According to data from the Hospital Authority, since the outbreak of the fifth wave of COVID-19, a total of 402 confirmed patients in Hong Kong have died in public hospitals.
