Prescribing traditional Chinese medicine, providing three diagnosis and treatment, and arranging the delivery of traditional Chinese medicine to the hospital, the patient can also reduce the cost of diagnosis and treatment.

The service was launched on a trial basis on February 21. Both the Hong Kong Baptist University and the Hong Kong Registered Chinese Medicine Association have participated in the pilot program, and have served 22 nursing homes so far. Bian Zhaoxiang, vice-president of Hong Kong Baptist University, said that the program has received positive feedback, and most of the patients who have been diagnosed have improved after taking Chinese medicine. Ms. Chen, the person in charge of a nursing home in Sham Shui Po, who participated in the plan, also pointed out that 7 elderly people in the institution were diagnosed.
