Chongqing Purui Ophthalmology Papers Selected in 2022 China Fundus Disease Forum and International Retinal Symposium

Recently, the paper “A Case of Optic Disc Fovea Combined with Retinal Ciliary Artery Occlusion” written by Dr. Lin Xiaodan of Chongqing Purui Eye Hospital was selected into the 2022 China Fundus Disease Forum and The International Retinal Symposium helps the continuous development of fundus disciplines.

It is understood that retinal ciliary artery occlusion can cause acute retinal ischemia and severe vision loss, which is one of the emergencies leading to blindness. The causes of retinal artery occlusion can be mainly summarized as embolism, arterial wall changes and thrombosis, vasospasm or a combination of the above factors. When ciliary artery occlusion affects the macula, vision disappears immediately or within a few minutes.

This symposium aims to promote the development of fundus diseases, strengthen academic exchanges with the outside world, understand the latest progress in the field of fundus diseases at home and abroad, and promote the cultivation of fundus disease professional medical personnel.

This paper analyzes the rare case of optic disc pit combined with retinal ciliary artery occlusion, from early diagnosis to late treatment, combined with clinical efficacy verification, and provides a basis for improving professional skills.
