“Lu’s Acupuncture” is a famous acupuncture school in my country and a national intangible cultural heritage. Recently, the “Lu’s Acupuncture” Cultural Museum was opened in the Xingcheng branch of the Nanxiang Town Community Health Service Center. This traditional Chinese medicine technique has also taken root in Jiading.
A silver needle is magical
Ms. Xu from Nanxiang Town has often felt backache since she gave birth. Wu Yaochi, who is attending the clinic, is an expert at the Sixth People’s Hospital of Shanghai and the inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage “Lu’s Acupuncture”. Wu Yaochi had a 20-minute observation, hearing, and inquiry with Ms. Xu, including taking the pulse of her left and right hands.
Wu Yaochi told reporters that “Lu’s acupuncture” focuses on seeking the origin, distinguishing left and right, and emphasizing the whole. The left and right hands, and sometimes the pulse of the neck, ankle, and dorsum of the foot, can more objectively reflect the patient’s pulse, thus dialectically administering treatment.
Afterwards, Wu Yaochi performed acupuncture and cupping for Ms. Xu. The reporter noticed that when Wu Yao held acupuncture, he operated with both hands, holding the acupuncture point with one hand and inserting the needle with the other. He told reporters that this is the unique “claw cutting” needle insertion technique in “Lu’s Acupuncture”.

After the needle was inserted, Wu Yaochi also performed acupuncture and moxibustion. Ms. Xu told reporters that it was her first time to do acupuncture and moxibustion. There are not a few patients who lament “magic” like Ms. Xu. Aunt Ling, 68, suffers from a herniated lumbar intervertebral disc. She often feels back pain and sometimes even cannot walk. Acupuncture can greatly reduce her symptoms. “I used to go to major hospitals in the city for acupuncture and moxibustion. I didn’t expect that there are so many experts in community hospitals, which is much more convenient.” Aunt Ling said with emotion.

Because of acupuncture, he has often seen miraculous effects, and has become a famous doctor of a generation, and has considerable influence in acupuncture circles at home and abroad.
The inheritors of “Lu’s Acupuncture” have also visited Jiading many times. Jiading Branch Center)” has been settled, and a group of young doctors of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture have been trained through the establishment of studios, apprenticeships, and expert guidance.

After studying with a teacher, her acupuncture skills have improved a lot, and she also has a group of loyal “fans” of her own. “‘Lu’s Acupuncture’ pays attention to gently stroking the needles with hands after inserting the needles to enhance the feeling of acupuncture. Wu Yaochi said that the “root” of Lu’s acupuncture is in Jiading, and he wants to benefit the people of Jiading.
