Dayan Beach is located in Xiwan Village, Goumen Town, Tumote Youqi, the center of the three cities of Hohhot, Baotou and Ordos, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The highway passes by the “beach”, which is a picturesque tourist and leisure place with convenient transportation.
Walking on the trail that extends in all directions on Big Wild Goose Beach, the eyes are full of green willows and pines, and unknown birds shuttle between them, and the sound of the gentle flowing of the mountain stream can be heard from time to time. “Fragrant grass is delicious, fallen flowers are colorful”, Tao Yuanming’s description in “Peach Blossom Spring” seems to be a portrayal of this place. Dayan Beach got its name from an ancient legend. A long time ago, the water in Shuijiangou was divided into two, and there were thousands of acres of paddy fields between them. A fisherman rescued a stray wild goose. In the midsummer of one year, the wild goose told the fishermen that there would be news of a flood. The fishermen beat gongs and drums to warn the surrounding villagers, so that people can avoid the disaster. In order to thank the wild geese, people named this place the Big Wild Goose Beach. On the mountainside on the north slope of Dayan Beach, you can see the beacon tower of the Zhao Great Wall in the Warring States Period, which has experienced more than 2,300 years of wind and rain. At the foot of Yinshan Mountain is the ancient battlefield where the Liao and Song Dynasties fought, and a stone pillar is said to be Yang Liulang’s horse-hitching stake. Being here, you can feel the vastness of history.
Walking westward along the walking path, you will enter the core area of Dayan Beach, and the melodious sound of Errentai can be heard in the distance. In a corner of the jungle, tourists gathered together and listened to the pure and original two-person platform. Tumut Youqi is the “Hometown of Chinese Errentai Culture and Art”, and listening to the Errentai performance here has a unique flavor. After feasting, move on. There is a special exhibition area for local agricultural and sideline products, and there are green and pure natural agricultural products such as honey, millet and flax oil for tourists to buy. Next to the agricultural exhibition area is the exhibition corridor of the intangible cultural heritage of the Tumote Right Banner. Tea soup, paper-cutting, yin handle guns, wind and percussion music, etc., all show people the humanities and customs of the ancient Tumotechuan Plain. Along the way, the scenic spots along the way are dizzying, country music bars, bird gardens, children’s amusement parks, farm courtyards… dotted in thousands of acres of peach and apricot forests, which can meet the diverse needs of different tourists.
On the west side of Dayan Beach Scenic Area, a neatly planned, clean and tidy mountain village welcomes every guest with open arms. The village is quaint, with white walls and green tiles, and smoke from cooking. This small village named Xiwan has a lot of fame. It is not only a national model village for one village and one product, but also the first batch of national-level pastoral complexes, and it is also a national civilized village. There is a small street running north-south in the village. The villagers of Xiwan Village hang their surplus objects on the wall, such as bicycles, old TVs, plows, hoes, rakes, etc. There are various kinds; there are also old renovated shops, which are also open for business. Such an ingenious combination gives old objects a new life, gives old places new highlights, and allows people to find memories of the past here. Distillery, tofu workshop, oil workshop and powder workshop show the ancient traditional handicraft characteristics here. There are many shops selling snacks along the street, such as red-faced stuffed skin, powder soup oil cake, Hu fried cake, Xiwan cold cake… Every snack can taste a strong nostalgia. On the folk street, there are several residential houses for tourists to stay, and the large Kang is enough to relieve the tiredness of tourists.
When you walk into Dayan Beach and Xiwan Village, you will be embraced by the green mountains and green waters with fragrant birds and flowers, accompanied by the wind and clear blue sky and white clouds, and you will be greeted by authentic farm food.
