China Aviation News Network: According to Reuters, the British government launched an “air passenger charter” scheme on July 17 . The program will help passengers know what to do in the event of flight cancellations, delays or lost luggage, and guide them on how to complain if they feel they have been treated unfairly.
Long queues and flight cancellations caused by staff shortages have sometimes caused chaos at airports, prompting airlines to reduce operating flights and making it difficult for the UK aviation industry to keep up with the growing demand for air travellers. London’s Heathrow Airport is understood to have asked airlines to stop selling summer flights and limit the number of passengers taking off from Britain’s busiest airport to 100,000 a day.
