Traditional Chinese medicine prevention and anti-epidemic prescription “appeared” in Shanghai’s largest centralized isolation and treatment point

Shanghai has always adopted a plan of emphasizing Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of new coronary pneumonia. Since the outbreak of the new crown epidemic, the characteristic therapy of traditional Chinese medicine has been integrated into the whole process of “prevention, treatment and health” of the new crown. Since the current round of the epidemic, the medical teams of Longhua Hospital, Yueyang Hospital, Shuguang Hospital, and Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital have all rushed to a number of temporary centralized isolation and treatment points with traditional Chinese medicine and non-drug therapy characteristic technologies.

A few days ago, in Shanghai’s largest centralized isolation and treatment point, the temporary centralized isolation and treatment point of Shanghai New International Expo Center, 8 municipal hospital medical teams have been stationed in succession. The cardboard box of “Traditional Chinese Medicine to Fight the Epidemic with One Heart” contains the Chinese medicine prevention and anti-epidemic prescription presented by the Shanghai Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine to the municipal brother hospital.

On March 31, a 201-person medical team from Longhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine went to the New International Expo Center for a temporary gathering. Work in isolation and treatment points, including 41 doctors, 148 nurses, 1 pharmacist, and 11 administrative staff. The medical team will take over 1,500 beds at the temporary centralized isolation and treatment point. Considering that this time it is mainly responsible for the treatment of local patients with mild symptoms and asymptomatic infections, the medical team of Longhua Hospital not only brought two groups of traditional Chinese medicine decoctions, Longhua Zhenye Decoction and Longyi Yuyu Fang, as well as Longhua Zhengqi Fang and Pneumonia Clearing Solution. It also plans to use traditional Chinese medicine non-drug treatment methods such as gong method and five-tone therapy.

From Wuhan Leishenshan to Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center, senior clinical experts from Yueyang Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, developed a number of traditional Chinese medicines such as “Jinqi Qingshu Prescription” and “Qingshu Gubiao Prescription” The prescription has always been well-received. This time, 206 medical staff from Yueyang Hospital entered the New International Expo Center for centralized isolation and treatment. Zhou Yang, a Chinese medicine expert in the medical treatment of new coronary pneumonia in Shanghai and director of the Yueyang Hospital’s Disease Treatment Center, said that the characteristics and advantages of Chinese medicine will be further utilized, and the technical methods of Chinese medicine will be actively used to carry out treatment work.

Head of the medical treatment team at the Shanghai centralized isolation point, temporary party secretary and general manager of the Shanghai New International Expo Center centralized isolation and treatment point Commander Chen Erzhen said that medical treatment will strictly implement the “New Coronavirus Pneumonia Diagnosis and Treatment Program (Trial Version 9)” announced by the National Health Commission, and give full play to the role of traditional Chinese medicine. At the same time, symptomatic treatment, such as cooling, should be taken for symptomatic patients.

Faced with the complex and severe epidemic test, in addition to building centralized isolation and treatment points, Shanghai has also used traditional Chinese medicine preparations, traditional Chinese medicine tea drinks, etc.

Recently, the Pharmacy Department of Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital rushed to produce “Panqiaojiefang” overnight, with a total of 5,000 copies of more than 70,000 sachets, which were sent to Jing’an, Jiading, Putuo, Qingpu and other districts by special vehicles in batches. The staff at the isolation and treatment points have established a traditional Chinese medicine prevention barrier for the front-line staff of epidemic prevention and control and the citizens of the isolation point. Banqiao Jiebiao Formula is composed of Banlangen, Forsythia, Nepeta, Honeysuckle and other ingredients. This formula is suitable for the prevention and treatment of respiratory infectious diseases.

In this epidemic prevention and control battle, many community workers and volunteers also participated in it, making every effort to protect the lives of residents. The hospital specially “feeds” traditional Chinese medicine tea bags for the staff who are fighting on the front lines of their sub-districts to help the community’s epidemic prevention and control work.

In addition, in order to further strengthen the TCM treatment force of designated hospitals in Shanghai, Shanghai TCM Hospital dispatched a medical team composed of 33 medical staff to the temporary practice site of Shanghai Public Health Center. In accordance with the diagnosis and treatment plan of the Shanghai Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the medical team used traditional Chinese medicine decoctions for dispersing the lungs and relieving coughs, nourishing yin and clearing the lungs, as well as proprietary Chinese medicines such as Lianhua Qingwen and Huoxiangzhengqi. Taijiquan and other exercises are used for guiding therapy, providing patients with high-quality Chinese medicine services and improving the efficacy of rescue and treatment.
