Sign up for volunteer services to deliver supplies to the community?” On March 31, Hou Liandong, the captain of the Dagang area of the express logistics company, and several members of the transportation team came to the Dagang Neighborhood Committee and took the initiative to sign up as volunteers. The oldest of them is 37 years old and the youngest is 24 years old.
Since April 1, this “Anti-epidemic Brotherhood” has been It ran back and forth at 9 grid points in the Dagang area, delivering daily necessities to more than 1,700 residents. The area of the Dagang area is scattered, coupled with the traffic control brought about by the closure and control, the originally straight road has to go around a long circle before reaching the gate of another community. The weather is getting hotter day by day. Every time the materials are delivered, the team members wear “big white” to carry and unload the goods. The clothes inside are wet and dry, but no one complains.

The team members always arrive at the loading location as soon as they receive a phone call. Team member Jin Xiaoming told reporters that the supplies they transported were distributed by the government and purchased by community residents. “There were two days last week when the government’s living materials were distributed in a concentrated manner, and it was very busy. Once, I received a task at 8 o’clock in the evening, and it ended at 2 o’clock in the morning the next day.” Jin Xiaoming recalled.
In the Dagang area, the neighborhood committee is responsible for community group buying Take the lead, collect the needs of residents and purchase them uniformly. When the materials are delivered to the neighborhood committee, the “anti-epidemic brother company” will drive a truck to pick up the goods, and then transport them to different grid points for unloading and sorting. At the grid point, community volunteers prepared tricycles, small trucks and other means of transportation in advance. After the team members unloaded the goods in batches, they also used their professional expertise to help quickly sort materials according to building information. “It can be said that we are both volunteers, and we are doing our own business.” Jin Xiaoming said with a smile.
Encountered by the community on the way to work and distributed lunch boxes, everyone can have a meal by the way. Sometimes meals also need to be solved by themselves. Several people cook some noodles in pots provided by enthusiastic residents, and they eat with relish while sitting on the floor. In the small office area of Dagang Point, a “bed” made of several cardboards stacked together is reserved for the youngest two younger brothers, Sun Haojie and Xu Yongjun, while the remaining 4 people use their winter work clothes as quilts.
