Bingchacha’s self-driving trip to Tibet this time started from Dali and arrived at a village in Nujiang Prefecture on the first night. Small village and stay there. It is the legendary place where “people and gods live together”, it is also known as “the most beautiful village in China”, and it has a very special-sounding name – Laomuden.
“old Mden” is a transliteration of the Nu people, meaning “a place where people like to come”, which shows that it must be a beautiful place. Unsurprisingly, when I first saw Laomudeng Village, which is located on the halfway of Biluo Snow Mountain, across the river from Gaoligong Mountain and Crown Mountain, I thought it was like a fairyland.
I thought it was Old Mudeng Village in a remote area must have extremely difficult conditions, but when I walked into the village and stayed at the inn run by local villagers, my original imagination was completely overturned.
Today’s Laomuden Village offers convenient accommodation, comfortable conditions, delicious food and a pleasant environment. In this way, it has become a veritable “Wonderland on Earth”. No matter who it is, there will be a desire to live for a while, so that every day when you open the window, you will see clouds floating in front of you, and you can pick as many as you want.
Mum Dengcun’s Nu people make up 95% of the total population, making it the only Nu township in China. We stayed at the inn run by the Nu people. I still have an unforgettable dinner on that night. It was a roast suckling pig feast with the characteristics of the Nu people, which was extremely rich and delicious.
that night , roast suckling pig, roast chicken piled in green leaves on the table, with tomatoes, corn, zongzi, lettuce, sweet potato, and extremely delicious pilaf, a large table full of food. Coupled with the beautiful toast song of the proprietress, everyone present can drink to the fullest. I have to say that this is a happy dinner, which is touching.
The Nu is People who can sing and dance, their songs are melodious and beautiful, and they will say: “If you want to know how many songs I have, just count them.Count the sand on the beach; if you want to know how many dances I have, just count the leaves on the hillside.” From their wonderful singing and dancing and hearty laughter, people feel their infinite yearning for a better life.< /p>
In the early morning of the next day, Laomudeng village was shrouded in rain and fog, and Laomuden beside the inn Christ Church caught my attention and it was built in 1930. It is said that when French missionaries came to this remote place and learned the local language, they began to preach here and built this church .
There are many villages around Laomudeng Village, inhabited by Nu, Lisu, Bai, Han, etc. Most of them believe in Christianity devoutly. Deep in the mountains and on both sides of the Nu River, it is a beautiful thing to hear melodious and soothing hymns from time to time.
In the early morning of that day, I was walking in the mist-shrouded Laomudeng Village, and there were many Nu dwellings on the hillside. The mountains in the distance are looming and changing in the clouds and mist. The village is very quiet. The crowing of the roosters and the singing of the birds add a wonderful rhythm to this tranquility. Everything seems so peaceful and beautiful.< /p>
Later, the proprietress called me back for breakfast, and made a cup of Laomuden’s unique high mountain tea, which turned out to be so sweet and delicious . She told me that the ancestors of the Nu people moved here and thrived. In the past, the traffic was blocked, and they lived a secluded life without competition. Now that the road has been repaired, their life is getting better and better, and their hearts are satisfied.
Old Mudeng Village I have a very good memory, but this time I went to Bingchacha to Tibet, I was in a hurry, and I didn’t stay for a few more days. It is a small regret, and I will definitely come back one day. What do you think of Old Mudeng Village? Will you take a look at it later?
