The Shanghai New National Expo square cabin is closed today, and there is only one square cabin hospital left in Shanghai

“We have successfully completed the admission task, and the new China Expo Fangcang shelter hospital is closed!” At noon today, Zheng Junhua, the chief commander of the Shanghai New International Expo Center Fangcang shelter hospital and the party secretary of Renji Hospital, and Shanghai Children’s Wang Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Medical Center, Sun Xiaodong, Vice President of the First People’s Hospital, Lv Zhongwei, Vice President of the Tenth People’s Hospital, and Gao Ju, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Longhua Hospital, put a seal on the door of the cabin together.

Shanghai New International Expo Center Fangcai Hospital (abbreviation: Xinguobo Fangcai Hospital) is the first city in Shanghai Class 10,000 square cabins, a total of 10 cabins, more than 14,000 beds. On March 26, the medical team jointly formed by 7 hospitals carried out the preliminary construction and preparation work. On March 31, the cabin was handed over to the Ruijin Hospital team for management. The Ruijin Hospital team and 10 hospital nurses treated the first batch of patients and carried out medical treatment. From April 5th, the management team of Renji Hospital officially took over the shelter, and five medical teams from other provinces and cities, including Tianjin, Hubei, Jiangxi, Shanxi, and Guizhou, and Shanghai Children’s Medical Center were jointly responsible for the medical work. In addition, the Shaanxi Aid Shanghai Medical Team provides mobile nucleic acid PCR testing, and the Henan Province Aid Shanghai Medical Team provides 120 emergency operation and maintenance.

On May 28th, medical teams from all over Shanghai left Shanghai. The hospital, Tenth People’s Hospital and Longhua Hospital will continue to be jointly responsible for the admission and treatment. On the morning of June 14, the last batch of patients were discharged smoothly.

In the fight against the epidemic, 20 medical teams and more than 7,000 medical staff participated in the treatment work in the New China National Expo Makeshift Hospital. A total of 77 days of operation of the new State Expo cabin, a total of 47,920 patients were admitted. The average age of the patients was 44 years old, the minimum age was 8 months, and the maximum age was 101 years old. 47,244 patients were cured and discharged, and a total of 676 critically ill patients were transferred to designated hospitals.

It is reported that after the closure of the new National Expo square cabin hospital, the Flower Expo (Chongming Fuxing Pavilion) square cabin hospital will be the last one City-level shelters, treating new local asymptomatic infections and mild cases.
