Compared with other foods, the problem of excessive packaging of moon cakes and rice dumplings is still relatively prominent. There are too many packaging layers and too large packaging gaps. There are even some problems such as using precious materials and mixing high-value commodities. It is necessary to further refine and tighten the packaging requirements for moon cakes and rice dumplings. In order to make moon cakes and zongzi packaging “slim down” and “lightly loaded”, the State Administration for Market Regulation (Standard Committee), together with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other departments, organized relevant standardization technical committees and technical institutions to formulate and issue the “Restriction of Excessive Packaging Requirements for Food Products”. and Cosmetics” (GB 23350-2021) National Standard No. 1 Amendment Sheet, the implementation date is August 15, 2022.
The specific contents of the amendment sheet include:
First, reduce the number of packaging layers, from a maximum of four layers to a maximum of three layers for moon cakes and rice dumplings.
The second is to compress the packaging gap. The necessary space factor is the core index of the packaging gap, which reflects the compactness of the packaging. The smaller the value, the smaller the packaging gap. This time, the necessary space factor of moon cakes has been reduced from 12 to 7, which is equivalent to a 42% reduction in packaging volume; the necessary space factor of rice dumplings has been reduced from 12 to 5, which is equivalent to a 58% reduction in packaging volume.
The third is to reduce packaging costs. For mooncakes and rice dumplings with a sales price of more than 100 yuan, the packaging cost will be reduced from 20% to 15% of the sales price; for mooncakes with a sales price of less than 100 yuan For rice dumplings, the proportion of packaging cost remains unchanged at 20%. The packaging cost generally refers to the packaging purchase price signed by the food company and the packaging company, and the sales price generally refers to the contracted sales price signed by the food company and the sales company; at the same time, the packaging materials are required not to be used Precious metals and mahogany materials.
Fourth is strict mixing requirements, stipulating that moon cakes should not be mixed with other products, and rice dumplings should not be mixed with other products that exceed their prices.
