On May 18, the makeshift hospital of Shanghai No. 5 Middle School, which was taken over by the Shanghai-aided medical team of a central enterprise, officially closed its cabin after successfully completing its anti-epidemic medical mission.

According to reports, the Wuzhong Fangcai was rebuilt by Shanghai No. 5 Middle School. It is the largest of the district-level Fangcang cabins in Shanghai, with a total of more than 3,500 beds. The cabin was opened on April 14. As of May 18, it has been running for 35 days, accumulatively managed 2,787 patients, treated and discharged 2,651 people, transferred 136 people, and sampled 16,270 nucleic acids.

Shanghai No. 5 Middle School Fangcai Hospital is led by Nuclear Industry No. 416 Hospital, along with Nuclear Industry General Hospital, Sinochem Second Construction Hospital, Aerospace 731 Hospital, China Resources Ruizhou Hospital, China Resources Pingkuang General Hospital, Sinopharm 6 hospitals including Dongfeng General Hospital are jointly managed by a total of 215 team members. The Shanghai Medical Team of the Central State-owned Enterprise, the Hongkou District Government and the Shanghai Fourth People’s Hospital cooperated efficiently, fought day and night, worked hard and bravely, successfully completed various tasks, and ensured the smooth and orderly operation of the Fifth China Fangcang cabin for 35 days.

As the epidemic situation improved, the number of patients in the fifth Chinese square cabin gradually decreased, but the team members did not rest. Since May 14, the team members have continued to cooperate with each street and community to carry out large-scale nucleic acid sampling support tasks. As of May 17, a total of 9,873 nucleic acid collection tubes and 60,636 person-times have been collected. Time is tight and there are many tasks. All team members pay attention to every detail and strictly implement every operation process to ensure that every task is completed efficiently and safely.
