On February 24, 4 cured patients wearing cotton clothes and masks walked out of the gate of the designated hospital for new coronary pneumonia in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. The medical staff gave them a protective bag containing disposable surgical masks, phlegm-relieving tea bags, disinfectant wipes and epidemic prevention publicity materials, and watched them get on the ambulance and transferred to the hospital for rehabilitation management.

This is the first batch of confirmed patients with new coronary pneumonia who have reached the discharge standard since the outbreak of the current round of the epidemic in Suzhou. At about 10 o’clock that day, four discharged patients arrived at the Suzhou New Coronary Pneumonia Rehabilitation Designated Hospital by Taihu Lake.

According to Huang Jianan, the leader of the Suzhou New Coronary Pneumonia Medical Treatment Expert Team, the four patients had respiratory symptoms when they were admitted to the hospital, and some had lung inflammation. The discharge standard stipulated in the “New Coronavirus Pneumonia Diagnosis and Treatment Plan (Trial Version 8 Revised Edition)” was approved. In order to cooperate with the epidemic prevention and control work and ensure safety, these patients will undergo further rehabilitation management.
