The Taiwan infectious disease doctor roughly estimated the incidence rate of 316 parts per million in the United States, and there may be 167 MIS-C cases in Taiwan in the future. – Case C.
A well-known doctor in Taiwan said that from the end of May last year to the end of May this year, a total of 8,525 MIS-C cases have been reported in the United States, of which 69 have died. After rough conversion, if the incidence rate in Taiwan is similar to that in the United States, there may be about 650 MIS-C cases in one year.
According to a study in New York, the probability of MIS-C among confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia under the age of 21 is 316 per million, of which there are more blacks, Hispanics, and Asians. Proportionally, from January to June 9 in Taiwan, there were about 527,000 people under the age of 20 infected with the new coronary pneumonia, and it is expected that there will be 167 MIS-C cases in the next month or so.
