South Korea’s Central Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters reported on the 16th that as of 0:00 that day, South Korea had added 400,741 new confirmed cases of the new crown within 24 hours, exceeding 400,000 for the first time; the cumulative number of confirmed cases was 7,629,275, setting a new record since the outbreak of the epidemic again.

In addition, South Korea recorded 164 new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths to 11,052. There are 1,244 severe cases, which is the highest number of severe cases since the outbreak.
