Update on Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic in Sichuan Province

From 0:00 to 24:00 on May 17, Sichuan49 new local confirmed cases (1 case in Bazhong was confirmed as a previously reported asymptomatic infection; 48 cases in Guang’an, of which 1 was a previously reported asymptomatic infection), 152 new cases of local asymptomatic infections (4 cases in Leshan, 148 cases in Guang’an), no new cases Confirmed cases imported from abroad, 11 newly imported asymptomatic infections(in Chengdu), 2 newly cured and discharged cases(in Chengdu) strong>, no new suspected cases and no new deaths.
As of 24:00 on May 17, there are 3 medium-risk areas in the province (as shown in the figure below), and the rest of the province is low-risk area.

The details are as follows:
New local confirmed cases 49 cases (1 case in Bazhong and 48 cases in Guang’an):
1 case was confirmed asymptomatic infection previously reported in Bazhong;
1 case was confirmed by an asymptomatic infected person previously reported in Guang’an;
47 cases were found by screening among the closed and controlled personnel in Guang’an;
All were diagnosed on May 17.
152 new local asymptomatic infections (4 in Leshan and 148 in Guang’an):
1 case was a close contact of a past asymptomatic infected person in Leshan, 1 case was found by screening in the key population in Leshan, and 2 cases were found by screening in the control group in Leshan;
148 cases were found by screening in Guang’an lockdown personnel;
all were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections on May 17.
11 new cases of asymptomatic infections imported from abroad (in Chengdu):
1 case was from Australia to Xiamen on January 2 and went to Shanghai after arriving in Xiamen, and arrived in Chengdu from Shanghai on May 12 for isolation;
1 case 5 cases were quarantined for arriving in Chengdu from the Netherlands on May 3;
5 cases were quarantined for arriving in Chengdu from the Netherlands on May 10;
4 cases arrived in Chengdu by air from Taiwan, China on May 16 for isolation;
All were diagnosed as asymptomatic infection on May 17.
