1

Will there be radiation in low-dose CT in physical examination?

The dose of CT is indeed much larger than that of chest X-ray. X-ray is only 0.02mSV (radiation dose), and low-dose CT is basically 1mSV (radiation dose). About 50 to 100 chest X-rays are equivalent to a CT.

2

Is it recommended to do low-dose CT during physical examination?

From the perspective of healthy people, if CT is done, it does not need to be done frequently, 1 Once a year is acceptable.

3

The choice of chest X-ray or CT for physical examination is based on the age and purpose of the subject. If you are over 40 years old, if you are older, if you have never done CT, it is recommended to do a chest CT.

What is the difference between X-ray and CT

X-ray is one film, and the front and back tissues overlap each other. If the nodule is less than 1cm, it is likely to be missed. CT scans layer by layer, and nodules under 5 mm will never be missed, and even nodules of 1 mm to 2 mm can be seen on CT.
