More than 2,000 medical staff are on duty to serve patients. In early May, the hospital has resumed specialist outpatient clinics and specialized disease outpatient clinics.

For the convenience of patients, the radiology, ultrasound and other diagnostic departments of Ruijin Hospital have also been fully activated. These departments have strengthened their staffing. Currently, CT, MRI, and ultrasound examinations can be performed on the same day without an appointment. As of 11:00 a.m. on May 17, Ruijin Hospital had seen more than 3,700 outpatients and 70 specialists.

The hospital has also recently opened the second emergency treatment area, equipped with 3 consultation rooms, 10 temporary observation rooms and 2 negative pressure cabins, to ensure that various difficult and critical patients can receive timely treatment.

The community can go out to Ruijin Hospital to see a doctor with a certificate one day in advance, and now the outpatient clinic of the hospital is fully open, I believe that more patients can see a doctor in time like me.”

Shen Baiyong, vice president of Ruijin Hospital and director of the Pancreas Center, introduced that on May 17, there were 72 operations in the Ruijin operating room, and on the 18th, only the Pancreas Center There are 11 operations. “Shanghai has achieved a social cleanup, and the focus of medical staff will gradually return to basic medical care from the battle against the epidemic to meet the people’s medical service needs.”
