So no matter what kind of salt, after being processed into edible salt, the ingredients are the same. There is no good or bad.
However, some substances are usually added to table salt. Mainly iodine and anti-caking agents. If you have hyperthyroidism, you do not need iodized salt, and you can also buy uniodized table salt.
Potassium iodate is added to iodized table salt. Potassium iodate is easily decomposed when heated. Adding salt to the dish can retain the iodine in the salt.
Anticaking agents are used to prevent salt from caking. The composition of the anti-caking agent is potassium ferrocyanide. Since the content is very small, it has little effect on health. If you are concerned about potassium ferrocyanide, you can also buy table salt without an anticaking agent. However, this salt is easy to agglomerate and is not very convenient to use.
Of course, there are some specialty salts on the market that are more expensive. For example, crystalline salt with large particles, colored salt with impurities and different colors. For example, Himalayan rose rock salt from Pakistan, black sea salt from Hawaii, etc., are all luxury items in salt, and they even cost hundreds of dollars a pack because of scarcity and brand benefits. Ordinary people do not have to buy for the pursuit of fashion. Because the main component of these salts is also sodium chloride, it is no different from a two-dollar packet of salt.
Different salts are not good or bad. There is no best salt, only the best salt for you. Salt intake must not be excessive. Light, less salty foods are healthier.
