The positive result of nucleic acid test is equivalent to the result of pathogen culture and becomes the “gold standard” for diagnosis.
Li Jinming said that not only the new coronavirus, but also common pathogens, such as hepatitis B virus and HIV, can be diagnosed by nucleic acid detection methods, and treatment can be monitored at the same time.
