On July 31, an aerial photo of the waters near Jishan, Duchang County, Jiujiang, Poyang Lake, Jiangxi Province, showed a large area of tidal flats and wetlands protruding from the water surface. Many egrets perched, foraged and “dancing” near the outcropping tidal flats.
Affected by the recent high temperature and little rainfall and the enhanced pull-off effect of the Yangtze River, the water level of Poyang Lake dropped Obviously, continuous “slimming”, large areas of tidal flats and wetlands emerge from the water surface, providing a large area for migratory birds to perch and forage.
