Is the patient critical, unstable?
Is it a rushing, distressing siren?
Or is it a scene of rescue?
With the development of critical care medicine, the survival rate of critically ill patients has been significantly improved, and the mortality rate has been significantly reduced However, it follows that the surviving patients often face physical, cognitive, and psychological problems and obstacles, which seriously restrict the disease outcome and prognosis of critically ill patients.
Rehabilitation medicine is different from traditional clinical medicine, it is function-based and life-oriented. Through individualized plans and “whole person” treatment, intensive rehabilitation aims to help patients get out of bed as soon as possible, release mechanical ventilation as soon as possible, improve the patient’s functional level, and improve the quality of life of patients in the intensive care unit, so that patients can leave the intensive care unit as soon as possible. Gradually return to family and society.
With the development of severe rehabilitation, the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine has continuously cooperated with ICU, CCU, RCU and EICU, and gradually established a multi-disciplinary and multi-professional teamwork model of “clinical-rehabilitation-nursing” to Patient-centered, united and cooperative, and accumulated a lot of clinical experience in clinical practice.
OT, Occupational Therapy, is an important part of rehabilitation medicine, which aims to enhance patients’ active participation in life activities and improve their well-being and satisfaction. Combining the ideas of occupational therapy and intensive rehabilitation intervention, it can further help patients improve their physical function and ability level.
