Only 29 years old! Young girl has breast cancer, doctors warn

Changjiang Daily Wuhan Client May 10th (Reporter Wang Chunlan Correspondent Zhou Qishu) At the age of 29, she was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer. Ms. Hu, a citizen, was both surprised and regretful: if she had re-examined earlier , may not drag on into serious illness. In this regard, the doctor said: the public should pay attention to screening, early diagnosis and early treatment.

In May last year, Ms. Hu did a routine physical examination and found a small mass in the right breast, which was diagnosed as grade 3 breast lesions by B-ultrasound. At that time, the doctor advised her to review the breast ultrasound in 2 months, and find a specialist for further examination and diagnosis.

Because of her busy work, Ms. Hu only went to the hospital for re-examination this year. The results of the examination were surprising: the mass of the right breast has grown significantly, and there is lymphatic enlargement in the bilateral armpits, which belongs to breast cancer. In the middle and late stages, immediate surgery is required.

Ms. Hu’s patient, Ms. Liao, is also very young, only 34 years old this year. She was also checked for abnormalities in her breasts during a routine physical examination and underwent surgery after which an intraoperative biopsy showed early breast cancer.

So young, why did these two women suffer from breast cancer? Chen Daxing, director of thoracic surgery at Wuchang Hospital in Wuhan, said that early breast cancer generally has no obvious symptoms, but only a painless breast mass, which is difficult to detect by palpation. In recent years, with the strengthening of screening awareness and the advancement of inspection methods, breast cancer can be detected earlier and earlier. If radical surgery is performed at an early stage, the prognosis will be better.

He reminded that high-risk factors for breast cancer include family history of breast cancer, childbirth over the age of 35, early menstrual cramps, late amenorrhea, and lack of breastfeeding. Obesity and alcohol consumption are also considered to be related to breast cancer. We should be more vigilant and actively participate in screening. Once a solid mass is found in the breast, it should be diagnosed and treated as soon as possible to avoid delaying the disease.
