My mother also came to the hospital, and both of them behaved the same.” On June 13, Yuan Chunhui, deputy director of the Emergency Medicine Department of Wuzhong People’s Hospital, said.
I learned through the doctor’s inquiry that the mother and son ate cold spinach, sweet potatoes, cashew nuts and other foods together at noon that day, “We suspected at that time whether the cold spinach was put in moldy almonds to cause discomfort. In case of food poisoning, the hospital reported the situation to the Wuzhong CDC in a timely manner, and then sent the patient’s blood and urine samples for inspection.”
At the same time, the hospital gave the patient rehydration fluid to speed up excretion. “It was originally going to be gastric lavage, but the patient was restless and couldn’t get a gastric tube. The blood endotoxin has been removed, and the patient has now turned the corner.”
Dr. Xu Fei, a postgraduate tutor at the Ningxia Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said, “According to the patient’s friend, the patient’s new house was on the first floor, and the vegetables grown in front of the door were grown from rapeseed bought online. A few days ago Pesticide has also been sprayed. But the patient’s performance is not like pesticide poisoning, but more like alkaloid poisoning.” Xu Fei said that according to further laboratory screening, it was determined to be Datura poisoning.
In the interview, Yuan Chunhui, deputy director of the Department of Emergency Medicine of Wuzhong People’s Hospital, listed the cases that the hospital had received. “There were patients who believed that Datura seeds could cure rheumatoid arthritis and asthma. Picked and boiled into decoction by yourself. After taking it, you will fall into a coma, have a high fever, and have blood perfusion three times to save your life. Therefore, don’t pick anything in the wild, and don’t listen to remedies.”
In the morning, the Ningxia disease control experts went to the patient’s community to check. There was a large mandala planted in the yard. Xu Fei concluded, “The patient may not know this thing, or it may be that the purchased rapeseed is mixed with mandala. Dhara, this thing grows wildly, and the seedlings are very similar to vegetables, so it is difficult to identify them. It is recommended not to sow the rapeseed purchased online.”
