When he was 40 years old, he met Zheng Huolong, a real person who taught swordsmanship, and when he was 64 years old, he met Zhongliquan and passed on alchemy. It is the ancestor of Jianxian Jianxian (the first sword immortal in the world).
According to the “Quanzhen Interpretation”, Lu Dongbin was included in the Eight Immortals (Tieguai) when he was invited by the head of the Eight Immortals, Tieguai Li, at the famous Xianyuan Stalagmite Mountain during the Northern Song Dynasty. In fact, in a sense, this poem is a warning to the world that although women are good and fascinating, don’t be fascinated by them. Otherwise, you won’t know how you died in the end. Even if you don’t die, you may hurt your body and end up in a bad future.
Obviously, such a statement is one-sided. Women are not all bad. If two people have love and can progress together, this love is enviable. And if a woman is with the same man because of her own desires, and only wants to play with the man, she needs to pay more attention. From this point of view, this poem actually has a certain warning significance.
This poem appears in “Jin Ping Mei”, which is a long vernacular novel of the world in the Ming Dynasty in China. The name is composed of three heroines in the book, Pan Jinlian, Li Ping’er and Pang Chunmei.
And this novel also has a great connection with “Water Margin”, which evolved from the passage of Wu Song killing his sister-in-law in “Water Margin”.
