Recently, “Guidelines for Diagnosis and Treatment of Common Bile Duct Stones by Percutaneous Transhepatic Duodenal Papillary Muscle Expansion and Anterograde Stone Expulsion for Common Bile Duct Stones” written by Professor Li Yuliang, Director of the Interventional Medicine Department of the Second Hospital of Shandong University, was published in the Chinese Journal of Internal Medicine.
Choledocholithiasis is a common disease. Percutaneous transhepatic papillary balloondilation (PTPBD) is a newly emerging treatment method in China. , Wide indications, high success rate, quick recovery and other advantages.
In the past ten years, Li Yuliang’s team has been deeply engaged in the field of minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment of cholelithiasis and has made great achievements. It is the first in China to carry out PTPBD for the treatment of cholelithiasis, filling the domestic gap. In clinical practice, Li Yuliang’s team has continuously expanded the application breadth of this technology, and has successively carried out percutaneous transhepatic/transgallbladder route for the treatment of choledocholithiasis, dual-path treatment for choledocholithiasis combined with cholecystolithiasis and intrahepatic bile duct calculi, and solved the problem of cholelithiasis. Difficulties and pain points of treatment. Focusing on this innovative technology, Li Yuliang’s team has conducted more than ten years of exploration and research, and produced a series of innovative results, which were published in “Radiology”, “HPB (Oxford)”, “Lasersin Surgery and Medicine”, “Chinese Medical Journal”, ” The Chinese Journal of General Surgery and other high-impact journals at home and abroad have published the monograph “Interventional Therapy of Cholelithiasis” (People’s Medical Publishing House), which has aroused strong repercussions at home and abroad. At the same time, the department has promoted the technology in more than 40 units in China and the province by holding study classes, and the response has been good. Cholelithiasis patients in the province and Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Anhui, Yunnan and other places also came to the Second Hospital of Shandong University for treatment and received effective treatment.
The “Standard” was organized by the Chinese Medical Doctor Association Interventional Physician Branch to discuss and formulate multidisciplinary experts in the field of common bile duct stone treatment in China, aiming to standardize the indications, contraindications, operating procedures and complications of PTPBD technology Handling principles. Li Yuliang is the convener and author of the writing expert group. He led the interventional medicine team and made important contributions to the formulation and release of the “Specification”. The release of the “Standard” fully demonstrates the technical level of interventional medicine in this field, and will have a profound impact on regulating domestic cholelithiasis interventional diagnosis and treatment, improving medical quality, and ensuring medical safety.
