Japan’s lowest mountain reopens: only 3 meters above sea level hit by earthquake and tsunami

Hywa Mountain is located in Miyagino District, Sendai City, Japan, and is recognized as “the lowest mountain in Japan” by the Japanese Academy of Land Geography. Before the 3.11 earthquake in Japan, Rihe Mountain was 6 meters above sea level. Affected by the earthquake and tsunami, the mountain lost a large area, and the current altitude is only 3 meters.
