According to the Hong Kong Hospital Authority Chief Administrative Manager (Medical Effectiveness and Technology Management ) Guan Huimin introduced that the latest report of 5 new crown patients died, including 4 males and 1 female, aged between 55 and 88, of which only 1 completed three vaccinations. Currently, 1,411 patients are hospitalized, of which 21 are in critical condition (including 10 in ICU) and 10 are in serious condition. The 22-month-old confirmed baby girl reported on the 28th is still in critical condition and needs a ventilator and cardiac drugs to maintain her life. The hospital will continue to closely monitor it.

An infection cluster appeared in the internal medicine ward of Queen Mary Hospital, with a total of 7 confirmed cases: an 85-year-old male patient was tested positive before the operation on the 24th, and the same ward was added on the 26th and 28th respectively. A 70-year-old and a 72-year-old male patient were infected. The three have been isolated and are in stable condition. The epidemiological investigation found that four hospital employees related to the ward were also diagnosed on the 26th.

According to statistics, more than 40,000 doses of new crown oral drugs have been prescribed since the current round of the epidemic. Zhang Zhujun said that in terms of residential care, 4 new residential care homes for the elderly or disabled, including Fu Hong Hui Ze An Adult Training Center, have reported cases; in terms of schools, today (29th) received 290 cases. The school reported that 302 students and 49 staff tested positive, and three new schools including Kowloon City Pentecost Secondary School had a small outbreak, and three epidemic-related classes had to be suspended for a week.
