On the afternoon of February 23, the unveiling ceremony of Shandong Future Network Research Institute and Shandong Future Group and the world’s first deterministic network release event were held in Jinan. At the event site, Hisense Medical and Shandong Future Network Research Institute signed a scientific and technological research and development cooperation project. This deterministic network was built by Shandong Future Network Research Institute, Shandong Future Group and other institutions newly established last year, relying on the existing machine room, pipeline, optical cable and transmission resources, using the latest “future network” technology of Academician Liu Yunjie’s team, covering 16 cities in Shandong. , with a total length of 5,600 kilometers.

Among them, remote surgery is one of the important application scenarios of deterministic networks. On the same day, with the help of deterministic network and Hisense computer-aided surgery system (CAS), Niu Haitao, vice president of Qingdao University Affiliated Hospital, operated a robot on-site in Jinan, and successfully completed a robot for an experimental animal in Qingdao University Affiliated Hospital 350 kilometers away. Assisted in remote laparoscopic surgery. Under the super deterministic network guarantee, this operation reduced the network delay to only 5 milliseconds to 6 milliseconds, setting a record. Previously, Niu Haitao has completed multiple remote surgeries with the help of 5G network, and on the basis of deterministic network, the delay in the operation is further shortened, and the life safety of patients is more guaranteed.

It is worth mentioning that this low-latency remote surgery is also very accurate with the help of Hisense CAS. According to the person in charge of related technologies of Hisense Medical, Hisense CAS quickly converts two-dimensional organ images into three-dimensional digital organs, providing efficient, accurate and concise image reconstruction and quantitative simulation analysis systems and overall solutions for thoracic and abdominal surgery. With the help of CAS, doctors can intuitively and clearly distinguish systems such as tumors, organs, and blood vessels, assess the variation of blood vessels, locate lesions, and design surgical plans.
