Yu Wenfeng is a high school teacher in Shangzhi City, Heilongjiang Province. In 1993, he suddenly fainted on the podium and was later diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy, which required a heart transplant to survive. In 1994, Yu Wenfeng performed a heart transplant at the Second Hospital of Harbin Medical University. Twenty-eight years later, Yu Wenfeng continues to set the record for survival time after heart transplantation in China.
