Yu Wenfeng is a high school teacher in Shangzhi City, Heilongjiang Province. In 1993, he suddenly fainted on the podium and was later diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy, which required a heart transplant to survive. In 1994, Yu Wenfeng performed a heart transplant at the Second Hospital of Harbin Medical University. Twenty-eight years later, Yu Wenfeng continues to set the record for survival time after heart transplantation in China.
“Organ donation and organ transplantation are another kind of continuation of life. Saving lives and families is a great act of love and kindness between people.
