Health Terminology – Sansei Medicine

Interpretation

1, “Sanshi Medicine” was first seen in Kong Shu’s book In Song Li. In “Book of Rites·Quli”, there is a record that “do not treat three generations, do not take medicine”. In the Tang Dynasty, Kong Ying Dashu said: “You have to drink medicine for diseases, and you will not be able to take medicine for three generations.” He also said: “For three generations, one is called “Huangdi Acupuncture”, the second is “Shen Nong’s Materia Medica”, and the third is “Su Numai”. If you don’t learn the book of the three generations, you cannot take its medicine.” The predecessors have different views on “three generations of medicine”, and Kong Yingda’s sparseness is more reasonable. Specifically, from “Nine Needles Made by Fuxi” to “Huangdi Acupuncture”, from “Shen Nong Tasting Baicao” to “Shen Nong’s Materia Medica”, from “Huangdi Qibo on Meridians” to “Su Numai Jue”, it is “three generations of medicine” Content. The so-called “three generations” refers to the names of the three ancient clans, Fuxi, Shennong and Huangdi, which actually represent the medical level of the budding period of medicine in ancient times. When the ancients made a statement, there were a lot of words to support the ancients, and they must support Shennong and Huangdi before they could make a statement. This is the earliest medical history. Xie Guan also said: “This is the most vocal school of Chinese medicine. If the book is passed on to later generations, if the “Lingshu” is the “Huangdi Acupuncture” school, if the “Benjing” is the “Shen Nong’s Materia Medica” school, If the “Nanjing” is the school of “Su Numai Jue”, the school of which the teacher can be seen is Hua Yuanhua’s “Yellow Emperor Acupuncture”, Zhang Zhongjing is the “Shen Nong’s Materia Medica” school; It is said that “three medicines” are the three oldest medical schools in the history of our country.
2. In the history of Chinese medicine, the family has been passed down from generation to generation, forming a medical family with its own characteristics – a “family” talent chain mainly based on father and son inheritance, supplemented by student clustering, It has built a training and clinical model of medical talents integrating specialties, writings, apprenticeships, and pharmaceuticals in the history of traditional Chinese medicine, so it also has the meaning of “father and son inherit for three generations”.

Applications

“Shen Nong” Materia Medica is the earliest pharmacology; Su Numai Jue is the earliest diagnosis, and Huangdi Acupuncture is the earliest acupuncture. This is the earliest medical record and legend. “Three generations of medicine” is a classic book that is summarized and sorted out by the accumulation of experience and the gradual rise to the theory. The records of “Three Ages of Medicine” illustrate that in ancient times, medicine has gradually risen from practice to the budding stage of theory.
“Sanshi Medicine” is not only a compulsory study for ancient doctors, but also a good start for the research of the whole Chinese medicine in the development process, and creates conditions for the formation of Chinese medicine theories and the development of various theories.
