Reporter from Guangming Daily:

In recent days, the number of newly confirmed cases in Jilin Province has increased rapidly, and everyone is very concerned. What is the current status of the treatment of newly confirmed cases in Jilin Province? thanks.

Jiao Yahui:

Thank you for your question. The cases in Jilin Province are mainly concentrated in Changchun City and Jilin City. We have adopted classified treatment measures. The so-called “classified treatment” is to treat ordinary, severe and critical cases as well as those with high risk factors, such as age. Larger cases with underlying diseases are centralized and treated in designated hospitals with relatively strong comprehensive capabilities, and other asymptomatic infections and mild cases are treated in other designated hospitals and makeshift hospitals.

As of this morning, Jilin Province has 8,201 hospitalized cases, including 2 critical cases, 2 severe cases in Jilin City, and 2 severe cases in Changchun City, and the common type accounts for about 4%. That is to say, more than 95% of the patients are asymptomatic infections and mild cases.

We immediately dispatched a national expert team to Changchun and Jilin City to guide the medical treatment work in Jilin City and Changchun City. A national medical team was dispatched, one critically ill medical team was dispatched from Heilongjiang, 3 general medical teams were dispatched from Henan, Inner Mongolia and Jiangxi, and ambulances were dispatched from Liaoning to support the transfer of cases in Jilin City.

The medical team dispatched by the state has taken over the critical wards and related wards of designated hospitals that receive and treat severe and critically ill patients, as well as patients with high risk factors. At the same time, we dispatched national experts. On the one hand, early shifts and ward rounds are made in designated hospitals every morning to detect changes in the patient’s condition in time and take targeted treatment measures. On the other hand, in Fangcang shelter hospitals and other designated hospitals, the method of tour guidance is adopted to detect patients with severe disease or high risk factors in time, and timely transfer them to designated hospitals with strong treatment capabilities to improve the overall treatment effect through comprehensive measures. Judging from the current situation, the medical treatment effect in Jilin Province is still good.
