Yesterday, the expedition ceremony of the 29th batch of medical teams in Guinea was held in the auditorium of Zhongcheng Tower of Tiantan Hospital. Soon, the medical team will go to Africa to carry out an 18-month aid work to help Guinea build a national neuroscience training base.

The medical team consists of 22 people, including 20 nursing staff from the neurology department, emergency department, and critical care department, 15 clinical majors in Tiantan Hospital, and functional departments such as civil engineering and financial accounting, to provide local medical services and help local improvement. Medical and health level, undertake the task system of promoting hospital construction and improving management. There are also two team members from the Municipal Health Commission and the Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention, who will work in the fields of health policy and public health.

“This is the second trip of the Tiantan medical team to Africa.” Wang Yongjun, president of Tiantan Hospital, said that the medical team will help Guinea build a national neuroscience training base. “It is hoped that the medical team can not only help Guinea do a good job in medical services and epidemic prevention and control, but also build a medical team that cannot walk.”

Guo Wei, the leader of the medical team in Guinea, is the director of the emergency department of Tiantan Hospital. He said that as an emergency responder, he deals with various emergencies every day, and he is confident that he is competent for the job.

The team members have also made full preparations in terms of knowledge reserves, physical and mental aspects. “We will go to Africa with full enthusiasm, firm confidence and a strong sense of responsibility”.
