At the end of March this year, the World Health Organization released the “WHO Expert Evaluation Meeting on the Treatment of New Coronary Pneumonia with Traditional Chinese Medicine”, affirming the safety and effectiveness of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of new coronary pneumonia.

According to incomplete statistics, China has introduced TCM diagnosis and treatment plans to more than 150 countries and regions, provided TCM products to more than 10 countries and regions in need, and sent TCM experts to 29 countries and regions. Regions help guide the fight against the epidemic. Traditional Chinese medicine has gained wider international recognition.

In March 2020, Zimbabwe confirmed its first death from the new crown. On May 11, 2020, at the invitation of Zimbabwe, a 12-member Chinese anti-epidemic medical expert group went to Zimbabwe to assist in the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic. In Kuwait’s capital, Kuwait City, resident Daoud told reporters that after he contracted the new crown virus, he was recommended by a friend to take traditional Chinese medicine, which relieved symptoms such as cough and fever.

Chen Zanyu, president of the British Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine, told reporters that since the new crown epidemic, he and his colleagues have been busier and have treated more than 10,000 new crown patients in the UK. “The advantage of traditional Chinese medicine is to adjust the overall immune system,” he said.

Charles Bell, who has recovered from the new crown in the United Kingdom, said that he is very optimistic about the effect of traditional Chinese medicine.
