From 0-24:00 on February 27, 40 new local confirmed cases were reported in the province, 30 cases were reported in Shenzhen, and 10 cases were reported in Dongguan. There were 25 new cases of local asymptomatic infections, 1 case was reported in Guangzhou, 6 cases were reported in Shenzhen, and 18 cases were reported in Dongguan.
53 new confirmed cases imported from abroad (10 of which were confirmed asymptomatic infections) in the province, 2 cases were reported in Guangzhou, from New Zealand and Kuwait respectively; 2 cases were reported in Foshan, from South Korea and Malaysia; Shenzhen reported 31 cases, Zhuhai reported 6 cases, Huizhou reported 2 cases, Shanwei reported 1 case, Dongguan reported 7 cases, Zhongshan reported 1 case, and Jiangmen reported 1 case, all from Hong Kong, China. 28 new cases of asymptomatic infections were imported from abroad, 1 case was reported in Guangzhou, from the Democratic Republic of the Congo; 16 cases were reported in Shenzhen, 14 cases were from Hong Kong, China, and the remaining 2 cases were from Japan and South Korea; Dongguan reported 1 case, from the Philippines; Zhuhai reported 2 cases, Shanwei reported 3 cases, Zhongshan reported 4 cases, and Jiangmen reported 1 case, all from Hong Kong, China. 9 new cases were discharged, and 723 cases are currently in hospital.
As of 24:00 on February 27, the province has reported a total of 8,375 positive cases of COVID-19 (6,075 imported from abroad), including 4,610 confirmed cases (2,746 imported from abroad) and 3,765 asymptomatic infections. Cases (3329 cases imported from abroad).
