On the morning of March 18, the 2022 Changsha County Early Screening and Comprehensive Intervention Project for High-Risk Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease was launched. The screening work will be carried out in 11 project sites in Changsha County, and there will be more than 7,000 in the county. Pre-screening quotas and more than 1,400 free physical examinations, pulmonary function tests and other evaluation and intervention quotas.
COPD is the most common chronic respiratory disease in my country. In recent years, the National Health Commission has successively issued a series of policies to actively promote the prevention and treatment of chronic respiratory diseases. Screening and comprehensive intervention programs have been added as one of the tasks of the chronic non-communicable disease prevention and control program. The purpose is to increase public awareness, early detection, diagnosis and intervention of high-risk groups and patients with COPD, delay the occurrence and development of the disease, reduce the disease burden, and benefit residents and patients.
Luo Hong, director of the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine at the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, introduced that patients who smoke, housewives who use biofuels for cooking, or who have a history of respiratory dust exposure are all high-risk groups with symptoms Early diagnosis is very important for cough, expectoration, and atypical chest tightness.
Luo Hong said that the incidence of COPD in the Chinese population has reached 100 million. Through early detection, early diagnosis and treatment of COPD, the quality of life and health of patients will be significantly improved.
It is understood that as long as the permanent residents of Changsha County who have lived in Changsha County for more than 6 months in the year before the screening, aged 35-75, voluntarily participate and sign the informed consent form, they can go to Changsha County. A total of 11 project sites in Changsha County participated in this free screening of high-risk groups of COPD.
