Yang Yang, Director of the Yunnan Provincial Health Commission, presented the flag to the 22nd batch of China (Yunnan) medical teams in Uganda.
The medical team in Uganda is led by the Third People’s Hospital of Yunnan Province It is composed of 9 team members from 4 units of Yunnan Third People’s Hospital, Yunnan Provincial Hospital of Infectious Diseases, Yunnan Provincial Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, and Kunming University of Science and Technology. Covering multiple majors such as gastroenterology, anesthesiology, thyroid and breast surgery, urology, otolaryngology, tuberculosis, traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture, it will continue to help Uganda improve its medical level on the basis of the fruitful work of the first 21 medical teams.
The conditions in Uganda are relatively difficult, and the medical team must not only live in poor medical conditions To carry out the work under the following conditions, we must also face the invasion of infectious diseases such as malaria, cholera and AIDS, provide high-quality medical services for local people, train business backbones for the aided hospitals, and fully participate in the prevention and treatment of the new crown pneumonia epidemic in Uganda. At the same time, it provides medical services for Chinese diplomats in Uzbekistan, Chinese-funded institutions, and overseas Chinese.
Yang Yang asked all foreign aid medical team members to carry forward the great anti-epidemic spirit, keep in mind their mission, and establish a good image of Yunnan medical team members; Medical work level. Always put safety first, protect yourself, and resolutely obey orders. Each dispatching unit should also keep in touch with the front team members at all times, and take the initiative to care for and solve their worries.
It is reported that since 1983 Since 2009, it has undertaken the task of dispatching medical aid to Uganda in Africa. So far, a total of 21 medical teams have been dispatched. Over the past 39 years, foreign aid medical team members have always kept in mind my country’s overall diplomatic mission, vigorously promoted the spirit of Chinese medical team, patriotism and international humanitarianism, united and cooperated, worked selflessly, and worked hard for the victims. 2022 marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Uganda.
