This year’s domestic dramas seem to have all become “national tragedies”.
The former “Home of the Heart” made people see myocardial infarction, and the latter “Dear Child” made people’s blood pressure soar.
This TV series tells the story of a divorced couple played by Ren Suxi and Qin Hao. Due to their child suffering from leukemia, the couple had already left home and started their own families, and the doctor suggested rebirth. A child, with umbilical cord blood to save the child’s life.
Although I don’t know how the story behind it is abusive, the first few episodes made people clench their fists.
But film and television come from life, and real life is far more bloody than these TV shows.
Newborn jaundice, what to do?
In the second episode, Fang Yinuo, played by Ren Suxi, found that his daughter He He had jaundice and wanted to take the child to the hospital for treatment.
But the confinement sister-in-law said that she had received professional training, and it was actually normal for the child to have jaundice, and there was no need to go to the hospital.
However, Yinuo insisted on taking the child to the hospital for examination. The result found that the child’s total bilirubin was too high, and he needed to be hospitalized immediately for blue light therapy.
In fact, isn’t this plot a portrayal of life?
The most helpless moment for new mothers is that they have no experience, but their ears are full of experiences that others cannot distinguish right from wrong.
Doubt yourself on the one hand, and worry about your child, especially neonatal jaundice, is it a normal physiological phenomenon or an abnormal phenomenon?
Physiological jaundice, pathological jaundice, can’t tell the difference?
Jaundice is one of the most common problems after birth. Jaundice is divided into two types: physiological and pathological.
If it is physiological, there is no need to worry too much. This is a physiological manifestation of the newborn’s growth process. Under normal circumstances, it will improve or disappear after exposure to blue light. And if the pathological jaundice, it is easy to affect the baby’s mental state.
Remind parents and friends that when the child is born, if there is a manifestation of jaundice, it is necessary to find out whether it is physiological jaundice or pathological jaundice.
How to tell the difference? You can start from these points:
First, the symptoms are different
Physiological After the occurrence of jaundice, the whites of the eyes, skin and oral mucosa of the newborn will appear slightly yellow, but the palm of the hand is normal color.
Pathological jaundice refers to the deepening of the color of the whole body, mostly orange-yellow.
Second, the time of appearance is different
In general, physiological jaundice is mostly in children. The child showed some performance about three days after birth, but due to differences in physical constitution, it was delayed to about 5 days at most.
In the case of pathological jaundice, the child will have abnormal manifestations within 24 hours of birth, and the earliest manifestations of yellowing are the whites of the eyes and the face.
Third, varying degrees of severity
Yellow due to physiological jaundice, appearing in the order of sclera, face and The neck, and finally the torso and extremities.
Pathological jaundice progresses very rapidly. Not only will yellowing appear 24 hours after birth, but within a few hours, jaundice will gradually develop from the face. If it affects the limbs and trunk, especially the palms and soles of the hands, there are already symptoms of jaundice, and you must go to the hospital as soon as possible.
Fourth, the blood test data is different
The bilirubin data detected by pathological jaundice It is high, and the fluctuation of the number in just a few hours will be very large, but the bilirubin of physiological jaundice is often not very high, and the fluctuation of the value is very slight, and even gradually decreases.
Physiological jaundice, nothing to worry about
Most jaundice is Physiological jaundice, generally associated with insufficient breastfeeding, infrequent defecation of newborns, and neonatal diseases (such as hemolytic disease, premature birth, low body weight, etc.) can lead to the deepening of neonatal jaundice.
Generally speaking, as long as the serum bilirubin does not exceed the normal level of 2.9mg/dL, it is generally a physiological jaundice and does not require excessive intervention. , do a good job in monitoring, and by strengthening feeding, helping defecation, etc., the neonatal jaundice can gradually subside.
Pathological jaundice, it is best to be vigilant
However, for some babies, jaundice appears within 24 hours after birth, Or the degree of jaundice is relatively severe, far beyond the normal range of the neonate, and the jaundice subsides for a long time……
These phenomena may be pathological jaundice.
And if this jaundice is left unchecked, the condition will gradually worsen, and the newborn may develop bilirubin encephalopathy, or Serious neurological sequelae such as permanent hearing loss, movement disorder, mental retardation.
In addition, if it is found that the baby has white stool or yellow urine, it may remind the baby that there is a disease in the liver and gallbladder system, so early diagnosis is required.
Faced with this type of jaundice, parents should check and treat in time.
