The white snow of Cangshan Mountain, the bright moon of Erhai Lake, the sea of flowers in Shangguan, the wind blowing in Xiaguan, and the “wind, flowers, snow and moon” in Dali occupy all four elegant places, which is the “poetry and distance” that many people yearn for. Zhao Wei, director of Dali Culture and Tourism Bureau, introduced that in Dali, the elements of love represented by “Cangshan as an alliance and Erhai as an oath” are everywhere.
Zhao Wei said that last year, Dali and relevant departments released the best love confession map, and launched 29 “best love confession places” check-in points and 5 confession routes. At present, nearly 600 couples take wedding photos every day in popular check-in places such as Erhai Ecological Corridor and Hushan Yunyin.
Some local homestays, hotels and art spaces have chosen to cooperate with wedding companies to launch services focusing on destination weddings. “In order to meet the needs of customers, we recently opened a new sea-view hotel, which is specially used to undertake destination weddings.” Deng Jingying, head of Dali Huazui Art Space, introduced.
According to the statistics of Dali Culture and Tourism Bureau, in the past three years, the number of destination weddings in Dali has grown by an average of 275% annually, ranking among the top in the country in terms of growth rate. In 2021, Dali will host a total of 1,210 destination weddings, with wedding revenue exceeding 41 million yuan. With the help of nearly 30 top customized destination wedding companies and more than 70 high-end wedding photography studios, Dali has gradually developed into a popular destination wedding venue that keeps pace with Hainan Sanya.
Deputy Governor of Dali Prefecture Lu Xujun introduced that from July 1 to 10, Dali Prefecture received more than 2.3 million tourists, and the tourism industry recovered strongly.
